
INSAP is one of the most respected and influential think tanks. The staff is made up of highly talented and motivated people who are dedicated to the work of the institution. The appointment and the scope of powers of the various Office Bearers are in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Board of Trustees is appointed and set up for the management of affairs of INSAP.

Board of Trustees meeting shall be conducting at least twice a year.
INSAP is structured into working groups, comprising professionals and academics, to look into specific areas assigned to each group in a more in-depth and structured manner. The Working Groups monitor issues and developments pertaining to their core interest of study.

Staff Job Description
1. Director
i) To assist the organization in evaluating relevant government/ public policies both at the
national and party levels particularly, those touching upon economic, political and social
issues.
ii) To monitor and update the MCA on related, new policies as well as newly amended
policies.
iii) To provide the organization with well-researched recommendations and suggestions
on new policies or policy changes based on sound methodologies and principles.
iv) To provide relevant input for Parliament or any other public forums as required by the
party.
2. Administrator/ Personal Assistant
i) To assist the Director in all matters relating to the office, library and company website
administration.
ii) To produce minutes or written reports for the organization according to directions of
the Director.
iii) To help in the organization of events, focal groups and dialogue sessions undertaken
by INSAP.
iv) To assist in areas where the Director sees appropriate; this includes any related
activities within the scope of the organization.
3. Legal Research Officer
i) To review the various legislation on matters especially concerning the Chinese
community.
ii) To provide feedback and written opinion papers/ reports on legal issues/ matters of
concern to MCA.
iii) To provide professional legal opinion for the MCA leadership and Parliamentarians on
various socio-political issues.
4. Economic Policy Researcher
i) To gather on-the-ground information and data related to current economic policies.
ii) To conduct in-depth industry as directed.
iii) To monitor the overall economic trends and environment.
5. Political Media Strategist
i) Collecting vital data and inputs for the purpose of research.
ii) Exchanging views with various organization such as the media, government agencies
and explain to them the community’s stand in various issues which is close to our
heart.
iii) Engaging in discussion with government agencies, NGO’s, the media and the public to
disseminate vital information to the public.
6. Political Analyst
i) To assist the Director on the various research projects undertaken by INSAP
ii) To gather information, data, figures for in-house database.
iii) To produce written reports for the organization according to directions of the Director.
iv) To help in the organization of events, focal groups and dialogue sessions undertaken
by INSAP.
v) To assist in areas where the Director sees appropriate; this includes non-research
related activities within the scope of the organization.
7. Malaysian Chinese Studies Researcher
i) To conduct surveys and in-depth data regarding Chinese schools.
ii) To deal with matters concerning Chinese-related issues particularly those affecting the
overall education of the community.
iii) To provide policy feedback and recommendation to the above.
iv) To handle all Chinese studies (sociology, cultural etc) related research work under
INSAP/ MCA.
